Research Summary

Professor Buonassisi’s research interests include autonomous labs, energy materials, applied machine learning and sustainability. His lab, the Accelerated Materials Lab for Sustainability, is focused on developing autonomous research tools that combine automated hardware, machine learning, and deep materials expertise. He directs the ADDEPT Center, devoted to making perovskite-silicon modules durable. We nurture a globally diverse community of individuals proficient in data science, materials science, systems design, and soft skills. We translate foundational research by engaging industry partners devoted to sustainability.
