Research Summary
Niven Winchester's research evaluates trade policies and climate change mitigation policies using computable general equilibrium modelling. Recent studies focus on 'food miles', the impact of trade liberalisation on wage inequality, and the economic impact of border carbon adjustments. he also has an interest in sports economics, particularly sports predictions and sports ranking systems. Winchester currently has a joint appointment at the University of Otago and MIT.
